Christmas Lights
Christmas lights... These traditions will brighten up your home, your neighborhood, and your family.
1. In many other countries candles light up their Christmas trees. While I would never recommend using real candles on the Christmas tree, it might be very nice to start a new family tradition using artificial candles on the tree.
2.Light advent candles on a wreath every night or just once a week for a few minutes. Use the time to talk about the first Christmas, pray, or discuss being thankful.
3. Put artificial candles in each of your front windows. It is so nice to see them from the street.
4. Create luminaries on a family Christmas craft night by drawing a pattern on the lunch bag size brown paper bags. Use a hole punch to punch out the pattern.
Fill the bags up with about 2 inches of dirt and place a votive candle in the middle of the dirt. On a calm night, line your walk way, driveway, or patio. This is certain to spread the holiday cheer.
5. Go to the lighting of your city's Christmas tree. Often there are other festivities scheduled for the same night.
6. Dad's decorate your own yard, and have your children help. Put up a nativity scene and hang some icicle lights. You'll be looking mighty festive.
7.Create runway lights for Santa and his reindeer, and put up a sign that says Santa stops here.
8. Take an evening stroll to look at the Christmas lights in your neighborhood.

9. Load up the car with the kids, popcorn, drinks, and play some Christmas music while you look at the electric light displays around town. Invite a friend to go with you. If you have a large van take a whole group of friends out for even more fun.
